Nagin Lake and Houseboat in Srinagar, Kashmir

We flew from Delhi to Srinagar in Kashmir and stayed in the houseboat at Nagin Lake.

We had to take a small boat from the ‘mainland’ to reach the houseboat.

The 2-hour Shikara (boat) ride around the lake was relaxing and rewarding. The place was so beautiful, calm and peaceful, and of course romantic too! Stopped over at Oriental Apiary Honey House during the ride. Woa, the honey comes in different flavours, such as apple, saffron, lotus, almond and lily. And each flavour is good for different purpose, e.g. cough, cold, blood circulation and many others .

I really enjoyed the boat ride and the stay at the houseboat although it could be very cold at times.
